Ventilator Management
A person who needs to receive oxygen for their lungs and have carbon
dioxide removed may benefit from mechanical ventilation (the waste gas
produced when you exhale). To accomplish this, a tube is inserted into the
windpipe through the nose or neck. In the hospital and as part of home
care services, people who have had tracheostomies may require
mechanical ventilation systems.
Wellwish Care services staff can support you with your ventilator
management plan.
